When you sign up you can start earning credits. (Pre-register through September 1, 2008 and get bonus credits) You will list your website and the links you want to promote. When someone places one of your links on their site we determine the point value of that link. You pay the number of credits that we determine the link is worth.
Users provide links in exchange for credits. They can then use those links to acquire links for their own sites. The image below outlines the process

Link providers list the pages on which they are willing to place links. Users seeking to acquire links search for and find appropriate sites and pages to link to them. When they have found a page they want a link from, they initiate the exchange.
The following steps then occur:
- The Link Receiver provides the info needed to create the link (i.e. URL)
- The Link Provider is notified and creates the link on the specified page
- InboundLinkMarket verifies the link and notifies Link Recipient
- Credits are transfered from the Provider to the Recipient
We place a portion of your payment in a house account, the rest goes to the inbound link provider. The house account is used to provide inbound link building services to customers of our Link Accelerator Program.
Ensuring Persistent Link Value
Search engines can take weeks or months to pick up inbound links. Also circumstances can change and affect the value of the link over time.
Therefore, we check linking pages periodically to ensure that the link has not been removed and that it’s value has not been compromised. If tither has happened the linker may forfeit a portion of total number of credits exchanged for the link. These credits will be refunded to the inbound link recipient. The reputation of the link provider will also be negatively affected. So, you can be certain that links you acquire via inbound link market will hold their value.
Link value may be reduced when:
- Many more links are added to the linking page
- The linking page is moved to a lower value location on the site (i.e. further from the homepage)
- The URL for the linking page is changed
- the link is removed
- The keywords on the linking page are changed
- the anchor text is changed to less relevant keywords
- the content of the linking page changes and is made less relevant.
